Combat Vehicle

An American-designed M47 Patton tank serves as a symbolic reminder of the strength and presence of U.S. armored forces in the liberation of Belgium, accompanied by a small memorial plaque mounted on a white stone pedestal bearing an inscription in French. Its display at the site stands as a visual tribute to the American troops, especially the first U.S. soldiers who fell on Belgian soil, honoring their sacrifice and marking the beginning of Belgiums liberation.
