Details:

Eastern edge of the inner part of the traffic circle in the grass just north of a pavement indent for parking. Monument Rectangular piece of stone with an inscription etched in. Held in place by a rough cut stone to its base and at its back.

Monument Text:

"Comme l'eclair d'un orage d'ete  a l'aube du 15 aout 1944 

9000 hommes des armees alliees furent parachutes ou transportes par 400 planeurs dans la plaine de La Motte
Pour liberer La Provence et liberer La France
Places sous le commandement du General Frederick 
Ils devaient rejoindre le hameau du Mitan
Rond Point Inaugure le 8 mai 1944"

English Translation:
"Like the flash of a summer storm at the dawn of 15 August 1944
9000 men of the allied armies parachuted or were transported by 400 gliders in the plain of La Motte to liberate Provence and liberate France
Placed under the command of General Frederick, they were to join the town of Mitan.
Traffic circle inaugurated on 8 May 1994"
