Details:
At the side of the unpaved road heading south down the hill from the Route de Coeuvres Marker The remains of a stone and mortar monument at the top of a set of stone steps originally constructed by First Infantry Division soldiers when they fought in the area in WWI. The original version had helmets embedded in the sides and mortar tubes embedded in the top, both of which have long ago disappeared.
