5th Infantry Division Stele of Brieulles (Center)

<< Back to Brieulles-sur-Meuse Gare

Details:

The monument is located at the northern extremity of the grassy area between D123 (Avenue de Verdun) and Rue du Jardin Montant.  Marker This white concrete pillar features three small plaques, each with a different inscription describing the events that took place at the site, as well as two different representations of the 5th Infantry Division's Red Diamond insignia. The larger Red Diamond is visible to traffic approaching from the south of town while the smaller diamond is on the north side of the monument. The three plaques populate the north, east, and west sides. Additionally, the logo of Le Souvenir Français is located in the bottom right corner of the north side of the monument.

The monument has been recently refurbished and painted thanks to the support of Le Souvenir Français and its partners.
