96th Bomb Group Memorial

<< Back to Snetterton Circuit

Details:

This memorial is located just to the east of the road that leads to the spectator entrance and ticket booths of the Snetternton Circuit.  Monument The monument consists of four large silver triangular metal prongs that extend upward toward the sky to support a small model airplane. The prongs gradually become thinner are they extend. The monument rests on a concrete base that is connected to a sidewalk which leads from the road to the memorial. Behind the four prongs, there is a similar silver plaque that bears an English inscription honoring the 96th Bomb Group and its associated squadrons. The top of the plaque features the insignia of the squadrons as well as that of the 96th Bomb Group.
