Fred W. Brown Plaque (328th Infantry Regiment)

This plaque is located on the upper half of residential wall on the east side of Rue du Château. Plaque


This black granite plaque features the logo of Le Souvenir Français in the top right hand corner and a French inscription honoring the sacrifice of Fred W. Brown, an American G.I. who was killed during the liberation of Albestroff. The plaque is situated above two small American (left) and French flags (right). The plaque marks the spot where Brown was killed. The plaque was dedicated in 2016.

Fred Brown served with the 328th Infantry Regiment which was attached to the 26th Infantry Division during the Liberation of Albestroff.
