Former Republic of Texas Embassy

<< Back to Hôtel de Vendôme - Paris

Details:

The Hôtel de Vendome is the former site of the embassy of the Republic of Texas. There is a engraving in the stone exterior of the building, above the main entrance and to the right, that commemorates this fact.  Marker A French engraving in two blocks of the hotel's stone exterior commemorates not only the former location of the embassy but also the strong, albeit short, relationship between the Republic of Texas and France.
