Monument

A vertical stone pillar with a long rectangular plaque. The monument remembers Airfield A-5, known as Advanced Landing Ground "A-5", or Chippelle Airfield.  The monument also members the of the 404th Fighter Group who fell while serving form this airfield in 1944.  The 404th Fighter group consisted of the 506th (4K), 507th (Y8), 508th (7J) Fighter Squadrons (P-47D).
