Machine Gunner of the B-17 “Hell’s Below” that took off from Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, UK on 29 May 1943 to bomb Rennes, France. The plane was shot down at 1634 by flak and German fighters. SSG Ferentinos survived the crash and was but died in the hospital at St Malo on 30 May. He was from Jersy City, New Jersey
