Named on monument dedicated to the 36th Infantry Division in the English Garden, Vesoul, Haute-Saône, Franche-Comté (70) France. From the Taylor Daily Press, 31 March 1949: Last rites for S/Sgt. Weldon M. Dosser, who was killed in action in France Sept. 12, 1944 were held this afternoon at 3 o’clock at the Condra Funeral Home. Dr. W. V. Snider, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiated at the service, and interment was in the City cemetery where graveside services were in charge of the Graham D. Luhn Post of the American Legion. Sgt. Dosser was born in Taylor November 15, 1921. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Lillian Dunn of Houston, a brother, Joe Wilburn Dosser of Austin, a sister. Mrs. Virgin Mac Belcher and a half brother, James, Canion, both of Houston.
