Harold F. Culp served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II as a First Lieutenant. He entered the service in Indiana. On April 5, 1944, he was killed at the controls of his P-51B (43-7076) WR P, when he struck a high-voltage line while strafing the Landsberg aerodrome. He is now buried in Lorraine American Cemetery,St Avold, France.
