Description:

The Monument in Arthur Clark Park, Wissous, France was erected in memory of the crew of the B-17 Bomber 42-31145 "Hi-Jinx," who crashed on February 6, 1944. After taking Flak while returning to base following a mission, co-pilot Lt. Arthur Clark ordered the crew to bail out while he remained at the controls of the bomber to avoid crashing into the town of Wissous.
