La Couvertoirade
Description:
A memorial site consisting of two monuments and 24 white crosses. 23 of the crosses mark burial sites. The site honors the death of 23 French resistance fighters and an American pilot at the hands of the Germans on 22 August 1944. The American pilot, LT Hoy, is buried in Michigan.

At the border of the Hérault and Aveyron departments, near an area called La Pezade, on the old national route 9 (now the D809/609) which runs parallel to the Autoroute A75 between les Infruts and le Caylar. The site is visible from the A75.
