A tall grey granite obelisk commemorating by name all of the First Infantry Division soldiers killed while fighting in the area.  The Memorial Commemorates the 1st Infantry Division’s 1223 dead between 7 September and 15 December 1944.

It is one of five similar World War 2 memorials placed across Europe by the 1ID.
