7th Armored Division Memorial

<< Back to Vielsalm -Bruce C. Clarke Square

Details:

The memorial is located at the center of Bruce C. Clarke Square in the center of Vielsalm. Monument This memorial consists of a dark stone indicating the site, Bruce C. Clarke Square. A larger stone of the same variety in the center of the garden rests on a concrete and stone base and is surrounded by several flower pots. Both sides of the upright stone feature the insignia of the 7th Armored Division and the base displays a small inscription in bronze letters dedicated to the division and its commanding officer. Two other concrete and stone bases are situated closer to the entrance of the garden.

Vielsalm was an important village for the 7th Armored Division after the unit was ordered to pull out of St. Vith.
