Col. Mendez Plaque

Details:

This plaque is located at the top of the memorial at the center of the park that constitutes the Grand-Sart site. It is situated directly above the plaque dedicated to the soldiers of the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment. Plaque This dark stone plaque features a simple engraving of a quotation (in French) from General James M. Gavin in relation to the outstanding service of Col. Louis Mendez.
