Military Police Plaque

<< Back to Houffalize Roadside

Details:

This plaque is located just south of Rue de Bastogne (N30) on the cobblestone sidewalk that constitutes the Houffalize Roadside site. The plaque is adjacent to a small wooden sign containing information on the soldiers commemorated on the actual plaque. (Note: The N30 highway severely narrows after the monument, so it is best to park before the memorial and approach on foot vie the small cobblestone sidewalk.) Plaque This black and gray granite plaque is attached to a large gray field stone with a smooth face. The plaque's English inscription urges that the sacrifice of the two MP's who were killed in Houffalize during the Battle of the Bulge live on. The plaque's location marks the very spot where these two MP's were killed.
