On the grounds of the Jackson cottage. Museum A small museum dedicated to the men of the first battalions of the US Army Rangers that were first 'activated' in Carrickfergus in 1942. The display includes documents, uniforms and photographs and other material detailing this unit.  The museum was first opened in 1994, following a 50th anniversary event when visiting US Ranger veterans generously gave their photographs and memorabilia to create a permanent exhibition.
