Deep in the Ecouve Forest, north of Alencon, in a clearing, off of a forest road.


Marker
A bronze plaque on a concrete base honors the airmen killed in the 1962 crash of a C-130 on this spot. Flying a mission with five other Hercules, returning to the Evreux Air Base after a paradrop near Bouard, this C-130 crashed in the forest, killing all fifteen aboard.
