The borne is located in the middle of the monument between the two flag poles and can be seen from the road. Marker The memorial is a borne taken from the Voie de la Liberté (Liberty Road), a series of identical markers which commemorate the 1,146 km route taken by Allied forces during WWII from Utah Beach in France to Bastogne, Belgium.
