On the west side of the road, attached on the left side of a door of the apartment, next to the garage. Plaque


A black rectangular plaque inscribe in German text, incised in white lettering. The outline of Berlin Airlift monument is printed on the bottom left.

 

The C-47 #43-49534 crashed in Berlin, Germany on July 25, 1948, killing both crew and injuring 3 on the ground. Flight was part of the Berlin Airlift and was on final approach to Tempelhof airport when it hit the roof of a building and crashed in Handjery-Strasse 2.
