<< Back to Duxford

Details:

Inside the museum.

Marker

Two large illuminated boards list the names of the USAAF airmen who died while serving with the USAAF's Eighth or Ninth Air Forces during the Second World War.  There is a small explanatory panel beside each board.

Monument Text:

(explanatory panel)

Roll of Honour —A to K

Each of the people on this Roll of Honour died while serving

with the USAAF's Eighth or Ninth Air Forces during the

Second World War.

The names highlighted in blue are those of airmen who died on

this day of the year.

The names on the Roll are drawn from the American Air Museum

website, which can be edited by members of the public. We need

your help to make it as accurate as possible.

Do you have a photograph of one of these people that you could

add to our website? Can you add a face to any of these names?

Visit www.americanairmuseum.com to find out more.

We must never, ever forget who the people in the cemeteries

were: What did they do? Where did they come from? What did

they leave behind? We owe it to them find out everything we can.

Without their sacrifice, who knows what the world would be like?
