Details:

Located in the courtyard next to the church in Krinkelt-Rocherath, on the south side of N658. A large black stone monument engraved on both sides in French, English, Flemish, and German. It was put up to honor the 2nd Infantry division who served during WWII.

US Second Infantry Division

A Tribute and a Memorial to the men of the US Second Infantry Division who fought and died

here and in this region in December 1944 for the case of freedom and peace.

Zur Ehrung und Erinnerung an die Soldaten der Zweiten US-Infanteriedivision, die hier und in der Gegend

im Dezember 1944 für Freiheit und Frieden kämpften und starben.

En hommage et en souvenir des hommes de la US Second Infantry Division qui ont combattu ici

et dans cette région en décembre 1944 et qui ont sacrifié leur vie pour la liberté et la paix.

Als eerbetoon en herinnering aan de mannen van de US Second Infantry Division die hier en in deze

streek vochten en in december 1944 hun leven voor vrijheid en vrede hebben geofferd.
