A plaque next to a tree planted to remember the liberation of this part of Maastricht by the 30th “Old Hickory” Infantry Division on September 13, 1944; the city of Masstricht was fully liberated on September 14, 1944.

 

The tree is located on Old Hickoryplein or “Old Hickory” Square.
