An engraved upright flat stone about 4 feet high.

 

The memorial remembers the liberation of Heer (Maastricht) by E Company, 177th Infantry Regiment, 30th Infantry ”Old Hickory” Division on September 13, 1944.  E Company was lead by Captain Harold Hoppe.

 

The memorial was dedicated in 1994 during the 50th Anniversary of the liberation of Heer.
