Monument

A tall stone monument in the shape of an airplane wing with the white American star on it followed by white and black stripes. Below it, is the commemoration message written in English and French in gold lettering. The monument commemorates the 325th GIR airborne troops who fought here during the Battle of La Fière. Two information boards can be seen on the site, one is beside the monument and the other one is just a few steps to the north. The monument was erected during the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings and the Battle of Normandy.
