A concrete memorial fashioned as a grave with an inscription on the upright portion.

The memorial remembers the fallen American soldiers who died liberating the Philippines from the enemy in World War 2.  Units of the 96th Infantry "Deadeye" Division came ashore near here on "Blue Beach" during the Leyte Landings in October 1944.

In grateful memory of the unknown American soldiers who with untold magnanimity and valiance fought and paid the supreme sacrifice on this foreign shore to liberate a people foreign to them.
