American Aviators Plaque - Epinay Town Hall

On the façade of the town hall. It is affixed to the wall to the right of the entrance wall.


Plaque

A rectangular black plaque inscribed with seven names in gold lettering. On the left side of the inscription are the flags of France and America. The names include three local men and four American aviators who died in 1943 and 1944. Armstrong, Frydryk, and Krafft, who died in 1943, belonged to a bomber crew, while Heuermann, who died in 1944, was a Fighter pilot.
