We wish to thank the mayors and all the people of Belleau who have maintained this sacred memorial to the World War I veterans of the 26th "Yankee" Division for these many years

We, the veterans of the 26th "Yankee" Division, and the members of the ancient and honorable artillery company of Massachusetts, all being friends of this YD (Yankee Division) memorial church, do pledge our support to its continued existence.
