A red sandstone monument with a bronze plaque that marks the site of the Hochfelden U.S. Military Cemetery which was in use from December 4, 1944 through 1948.  Established by the 7th U.S. Army, the temporary cemetery contained 1,093 American dead, most of which were later moved to the Lorraine American cemetery in St. Avold, France.  One U.S. burial remains there today. The site also includes two information panels
