On the exterior wall to the right of the door at 21 Rue Raynouard. Plaque A bronze plaque honoring the volunteers of the American Field Service and stating that its headquarters was in the house that formerly stood here.

Through the house which formerly stood here passed 2.437 American volunteers who served under the French flag.  Their ambulances carried more than 400.000 wounded "poilus" to safety and 127 gave their lives so that France might live.
