Cut out in a field on the side of N331 Northeast of Kimmel.   Monument

This monument was built and is maintained by the American Battle Monuments Commission. 

small American monument on a low platform that consists of a rectangular white stone block, in front of which is carved a soldier's helmet upon a wreath.  It has inscriptions on it in English, French, and Flemish that praise the sacrifice of the 27th and 30th Divisions.

Erected by the United States of America to commemorate the services of American troops who fought in this vicinity August 18-September 4, 1918.
