INFANTRY REGIMENT

WHOSE EXACT D-DAY MISSION WAS

TO SEIZE LA FIERE BRIDGE AND PREVENT

THE ENEMY CROSSING EASTERLY

DESPITE HEAVY LOSSES, COMPANY A STOOD FAST

NO ARMED ENEMY EVER CROSSED THIS BRIDGE

NEVER FORGET THEM
