A standard upright US Military white inscribed gravestone.

The isolated burial of John J Ward, who lost his life while serving with Company A, 320th Infantry Regiment, 80th Division, American Expeditionary Force in France during WWI.

John Ward emigrated to Boston ca. October 1912. In 1922, at his father's request, his remains were brought back to Ireland from France to be buried in his native soil.
