Details:

The plaque is located on the wall at the entrance to the small walled cemetery. Plaque Inaugurated on May 8, 2012, the plaque honors members of the 180th Infantry Regiment who fought and died during the liberation of Gugnécourt on September 27-28, 1944.   A grey granite plaque with gold leaf inscription with text in French and English.  Crossed American and French flags and the unit insignia also appear.

A la mémoire des combattants américains du 180éme Régiment d’infanterie tombés pour la libération de Gugnécourt les 27 et 28 de Septembre 1944.

In memory of the American soldiers of the 180th Infantry Regiment who gave their lives for the liberation of Gugnécourt on September 27-28, 1944.
