Valdez Commemorative Monument
Details:
Rue de Lattre, in the middle of the courtyard, next to the lamp post Monument A brass plaque placed on a monument made of concrete approximately 1-1.5 meters tall. The plaque commemorates PFC Jose F. Valdez, who single-handedly provided direct and indirect fire for his comrades in efforts to liberate the town of Houssen. As a result, he was mortally wounded on January 25, 1945, which led to his death on February 17, 1945.
