Carpetbagger Covert Warfare Museum

The museum is located within the group operations building on the site of the former WWII airfield. It sits next to the Northants Aviation Society Museum, facing west toward the parking lot.  Museum

The museum collections are housed in the last remaining original structure on the site which served as a secret group operations base for the 801st/ 492nd American Eighth Air 
Force Bomb Group (The Carpetbaggers) during World War II. Collections feature photographs, maps, artifacts, and audiovisual materials in the form of film footage and recordings. The museum is primarily concerned with the missions flown by American airmen working out of Harrington, although it also includes artifacts related to the British Special Operations Executive (SOE) which were based at the former RAF Tempsford. 

The museum was formed in 1993 for the 50th anniversary reunion of the USAAF's 801st/ 492nd Bomb Group in Harrington and is administered by members of the Harrington Aviation Museum Society.
