Details:

On the side of the road along the tree line. 2 kilometers north of an identical stele behind the town's war memorial. Marker This marker is a white concrete stele that bears the red diamond insignia of the 5th U.S. Division and a white plexiglass plaque. 


It is one of 28 identical steles located throughout the region erected by the 5th Division to commemorate its actions during World War I. This stele, in particular, marks the northern-most boundary of the 5th Division's advance on the Western front during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive before crossing the Meuse.
