9th Armored Division Monument

Details:

This monument is located off a small pathway leading from the road, in the middle of an open park space. Monument This monument is large stone, about 3.5 ft. (3.1m) high and has two faces. The left face of the monument has a plaque honoring the soldiers of the 9th Armored division while the right face has a gold engraving in memory of the victims of WWII. The plaque honors the units and fallen soldiers of the 9th Armored division stationed on the Ermsdorf line during the Ardennes Offensive, especially those stationed in the village of Ermsdorf.
