Details:

The plaque is located next to the church and cemetery by the parking lot. From the parking lot of the church, steps lead up to the cemetery lawn. The plaque is on the stone wall to the left of these steps above a flowerbox.  Plaque The plaque commemorates the June 8th, 1944 liberation of La Cambe by the 175th Infantry Regiment and 747th Tank Battalion of the 29th Infantry Division. As a symbol of unity, the American and French flags are inscribed on the stone plaque.
