Located on the outside wall of a stone building in the center of Gourbesville. The building used to be a makeshift aid station used by the Germans.  Plaque The plaque commemorates the building's use as an aid station in World War II by the Germans.

En Juin 1944, cette habitation (ecole), devient un poste de secours de l'armee allemande "Lazarett". Les parachutistes americains blesses et captures dans les environs, y furent amenes et secourus.

English translation: 
Aid station 
In June 1944, this school house became an aid station of the German army "Lazarett". American paratroopers wounded and captured in the area were brought in and treated.
