Located on the southwest corner of the intersection of D89E and Rue du Moulin.  Plaque The plaques commemorates the "Filthy 13", the demolition platoon with the 3rd Battalion, 506th PIR who were often assigned to secure or destroy bridges behind enemy lines including securing a bridgehead on the Douve River to link invasion forces. The name "Filthy 13" is derived from the fact that when training in England, the group washed and shaved once a week and never cleaned their uniforms.

To the memory of the "Filthy 13", 101st Airborne Division, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, Regimental Headquarters Company, Demolition Platoon

The "Filthy 13" was the nickname of the demolition platoon attached to the 3rd Bn/506th PIR. The 3rd Bn supported by one platoon of C CO/326th Airborne Engineer Battalion had to be dropped on the drop zone "D" situated south of Viersville and east of Angoville-au-Plain. That force had to strike southward, seize the two bridges near "Le Port" at the mouth of the Douve River and to establish a bridgehead south of the river. By seizing the high grounds in the direction of Brevands, the battalion would link with the American forces moving northwards from Omaha Beach.

Le 3 Bn appuye par un peloton du 326eme Bataillon du genie aeroporte devaient etre largues sur la zone de saut "D" au sud de Vierville et a ;'est d'Angoville-au-Plain. Cette force devait attaquer vers le sud s'emparer des deux ponts non loin "Le Port" a l'embouchure de la Douve et etablir unetete de pont au sud de la riviere. En s'emparant des hauteurs en direction de Brevands le bataillon ferait jonction avec les forces americaines qui se dirigeraient vers le nord depuis Omaha Beach.
