612th and 801st TD Monument
Details:
Located western corner of the intersection of Honsfeld and two neighborhood streets. Monument This monument commemorates the 612th and 801st tank destroyer battalions that fought in the area on December 17th, 1944 as part of the 99th Infantry Division. Both of these units were key to stopping the German 6th Panzer Army from obtaining objectives. The 612th Battalion received the Presidential Unit Citation for their actions here.
