MuseumAt the John Paul Jones Birthplace Museum, two distinct yet connected buildings tell the story of John Paul Joness life. The larger building is the Visitor Centre, which serves as the main entrance and hub for guests; here youll find engaging exhibits, a reconstructed captains cabin from Joness ship the Bonhomme Richard, a gift shop, and a café, all designed to place his achievements in a vivid historical context. Just a few steps away stands the original 1747 cottage, the humble gardeners house where John Paul Jones was born and spent his early years. Restored and furnished in authentic 18th-century style, the cottage offers a rare glimpse into his beginnings before he set sail to earn fame as the Father of the American Navy.
