In memory of the American crew comprised of Claude Weid, Rex Pond, Edward Vermillion, Edward Hill, and the 40 american soldiers who died in the crash of the Curtiss C-46 on may 23rd, 1945 at Taillefontaine. They had been fighting since June 6th 1944.
