Plaque A black rectangular plaque inscribed in French text continuing the passage from the first plaque that is attached at the east-end of the bridge. The two plaques form the text “While the Allies had liberated AIREL as soon as 12 June 1944, this bridge could not be crossed until 7 July 1944 by the 30th Division who freed SAINT-FROMOND after an intense bombardment.”

English translation:

 

“..this bridge could not be crossed until 7 July 1944 by the 30th Division who freed SAINT-FROMOND after an intense bombardment.”
