Commemorative Object

Parts of a WWI airplane engine, purported to be the plane that Quentin Roosevelt was shot down in.  There is historical doubt as to the Roosevelt connection.



  Monument Text:
  Glorious remains of the airplane of Lieutenant Quentin Roosevelt, killed in an unequal aerial combat at Coulonges-en-Tardenois at the age of 21 years on the 14 July 1918 for the liberty of France.
