In front of the town war memorial.

A rectangular, white, stone slab with a slant top and one-step base, bearing a rectangular, dark plaque. The plaque is inscribed in French in engraved lettering which commemorates four men who were killed on August 3, 1944, by a retreating German column deployed in the area. The names inscribed include Bourgoin. The plaque shows that he is a Canadian, but, this is incorrect. Bourgoin or Lucien J. Bourgoin is an American who was born in Massachusetts. Behind this memorial, is an information panel that includes the story of what happened that day.
