High on an outside wall of the Fort to the left of the main entrance. Plaque A bronze plaque commemorating the Great War and its soldiers.  Placed by the Y.M.C.A and marking one of its many Foyers du Soldat

Monument Text:

In commemoration of the heroic days of the Great War when the sons of France and the sons of America side by side gave their lives for liberty.  This tablet is placed by the Young Men's Christian Association of the United States.

Here stood one of the 1000 Foyers du Soldat of the Union Franco-Americaine
