American Dougboy and French Soldier Statue

Details:

In the town center of Thiaucourt, France on the town's War Monument (Monument aux Morts). Approximately 2km east from the St. Mihiel American War Cemetery. Statue A bronze statue of an American WWI Soldier and a French Soldier shaking hands. It is on an obelisk shaped stone monument.


A plaque on the sides remembers the liberation of Thiacourt by the 2nd and 89th Infantry Divisions. A braised relief brass shows the American Army crossing the bridge in Thiacourt.
